“Photography does deal with ‘truth’ or a kind of superficial reality better than any of the other arts, but it never questions the nature of reality – it simply reproduces reality. And what good is that when the things of real value in life are invisible?”
– Duane Michals
That’s what I’m after, the invisible. What good is behind the constructed visible or tangible, aren’t we more complex than that. Family, friendship, love or words that describe complex and profound structures, feelings and emotions. The best things to save from this day isn’t a Walt Disney concept of Princess and Prince with the happy never talked ending. The best thing about it is Legacy, to show to others and to future generations who we really were. The best and the worst, the defiance when we were alive and took the chance believing we could create new worlds together, just the two of us with some friends. Something more complex than the cliche behind the ideal kiss, what’s ideal anyway? Isn’t Life the ideal to look upon.
