“Sometimes I feel like … the world is a place I bought a ticket to. It’s a big show for me, as if it wouldn’t happen if I wasn’t there with a camera.”
– Garry Winogrand
It really does feel like that, when you’re with a camera in your hands things happen. It’s just a question if you’re up to the task of observing and acknowledge that everything is worth your patience. I love dance floors, especially dark ones, where the lights seem to search for someone while touching and ignoring those that ignore them. But there is always a moment where the two meet and seem to be aware of each other, revealing both.People in the industry overthink and try to rationalize the whole day, usually they are the ones that say to me “Why do you stay, it’s all the same after a while”, well it isn’t. You search for the whole day and with a little luck and lot of awareness you might find yourself reflected on these photographs.
